George Davidson

A very nice Art Nouveau label design:

A partial (also George Davidson) exhibition/artist info label with Art Nouveau border below, which was covering up the label above.

The stamp below originally posted on 20th December 2012:

William Rodman & Co.

A complete label for William Rodman & Co.

Example below originally posted on 6th August 2012

A framemaker, carvers, and gilders which was located at 41 Donegall Street, Belfast. I am not certain on the exact dates but they were certainly trading in 1890 and maybe as late as 1960. A good quality Louis XIV style revival frame, compo ornamented, with original highly burnished water gilding.

U.H. Patterson & Son

A very large label, probably about 6 x 4 inches ( I forgot to actually measure it ), glued to the wood backing board on a small silver gilt, gold lacquered frame, needing some minor work.

Thanks to Dave Makielski, and his client.

R. Scupham & Sons

And another from the interwebs, whilst trying to figure out where and who Middlesbro was. English.

Swain's Art Store

Swains Art Store. No picture of the recto, face, of the frame. The business, established 1868, is still active:

H.S. Swasey

And another posted by Richard Christie:

Henry Street Swasey, picture framer by trade, but also an artist. It appears that he also sold art, and art materials.
