Joe Korber, update, 7-1-14

Another, much simpler Joe Korber frame, courtesy of Dave Champagne.

Dave informs us that the address is now a high rise of some sort. The frame at the bottom intrigues me a lot, with a finish, that I believe is very specific to a period during WWI. It is, also, an unusual design. I'm adding photographer label to this, on scanty info, but ....  Posted 7-1-14

The frame is quite interesting, but the interwebs has nothing on Joe Korber other than what I and Concept Gallery have posted.

Haynes

Old Faithful spouting in the background. Frank J. Haynes, founder of the firm, was known as The Official Photographer of Yellowstone in the late 19th. and early 20th. century, and was the first winter photographer at Yellowstone. There are some old web pages concerning him, and a Flicker set, from his family collection.

COMO (?) PHOTO SERVICE

Interesting to me that there are quite a few labels that seem to miss the point of having a label. Addresses, phone numbers, some means of identification.

Kodàk, Paris

Going through this collection, I'm seeing a lot of early photography establishments, also being framers. The above is a very nice little label. This being a site about framing, why of course, they were framers first, photography being added as a sideline.
