It seems from the National Portrait Gallery database of British Framemakers 1610-1950 that a carving, gilding, and frame making business was trading at this address '18 Silver Street, Golden Square, London' from 1801 to 1883 although the name/names were Jordan & Evans (to 1825) and then William Evans, and later William & Phillip Evans. I wonder if this frame is earlier that 1801 as it is a very good quality fully carved example, although it could also be later than 1883.
