Doig, Wilson, and Wheatley

This Scottish framing company was established in 1840, and traded under three different names in its history:
Doig, McKechnie & Davies 1857-1884, Doig & McKechnie 1885-1895, Doig, Wilson & Wheatley 1895-1957.

Aitken Dott & Son

Another example of an Aitken Dott label, this one has a large blank area (image cropped) above the printed text, for details about the painting, artist, and owner etc.

This Scottish framing company, based in Edinburgh, was established in 1842 and traded under a number of names and from numerous addresses. The business was under this name from 1880 to 1984, and from this address between 1874 to 1982.
